Music for Lent & Easter

I'm so excited about the Lenten/Easter music!  The orchestral ensemble is growing and sounding wonderful.  To get the most out of rehearsals, here are some audio files so you can "Sing Along with Mitch" (boy, am I showing my age!):

"Come, Let Us Sing"  (Easter) This was the mass choir piece for Metro, so we're refreshing.  That 7/8 time is much easier than it looks!

"The Tomb is Empty Now"  (Sunday after Easter)--some people call this "Low Sunday" but anyone who doesn't come will be missing a real treat!

"Be Unto Your Name" (just a short clip, but the ensemble will be playing with us!) This will be sometime in early May.

Here's a YouTube of Larry Shackley workshopping this Sunday's

"Christ, Be in My Waking" (remember, we'll have flutes playing the mandolin part!)

Also, we now have the instrument parts for "Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)." We practiced it today and I can already tell it will become a favorite!

Thank you so, so much!
